House of Prayer – Week 2

Intercession: Standing between someone’s need and God’s heart and refusing to be silent. It is stepping into the gap.

Monday, May 11
 Pray 1 Timothy 2:1-3 
Focus on government leaders.
“The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know. Pray especially for rulers and their governments to rule well so we can be quietly about our business of living simply, in humble contemplation. This is the way our Savior God wants us to live.” 


Tuesday, May 12
 Pray James 5:13-15 
Focus on those who are suffering hardships and sickness.
“Are any of you suffering hardships? You should pray. Are any of you happy? You should sing praises. Are any of you sick? You should call for the elders of the church to come and pray over you, anointing you with oil in the name of the Lord. Such a prayer offered in faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will make you well. And if you have committed any sins, you will be forgiven.”


Wednesday, May 13
 Pray Ephesians 6:18 
Focus on fellow believers.
“Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.” 


Thursday, May 14 
Pray 1 Samuel 12:23 
Focus on those you have influence with.
 “As for me, I will certainly not sin against the Lord by ending my prayers for you. And I will continue to teach you what is good and right.”


Friday, May 15
 Pray 2 Thessalonians 1:11 
Focus on your spiritual leaders.
“So we keep on praying for you, asking our God to enable you to live a life worthy of his call. May he give you the power to accomplish all the good things your faith prompts you to do. Then the name of our Lord Jesus will be honored because of the way you live, and you will be honored along with him. This is all made possible because of the grace of our God and Lord, Jesus Christ.” 


Saturday, May 16 
Pray Proverbs 31:8-9 
Focus on those who need justice.
“Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves; ensure justice for those being crushed. Yes, speak up for the poor and helpless, and see that they get justice.”

Sunday, May 17
 Pray 2 Chronicles 7:14 
Focus on the repentance & restoration of our nation.
“Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.”
