BE for SUMMER SERVE!
We want to take the months of July and August to specifically focus on those around us by serving our community. Check out the options below from our local ministry partners and others. Be sure to sign-up to be a part of one or more of these serving opportunities.
- Firehouse Feeding : July 26 (5PM to 8PM)
Family friendly, providing dinner to our local firehouse personnel. Meet in the cafe at the Church.
- Kayak paddle and river clean-up : August 26 (9AM) meet the Outdoor Adventures Life Group at City Dock for a fun time on the water and a little clean-up along the way. All are welcome to participate, must bring own kayak!
- Zoe Freedom Center 5K : August 26
5K Run to end addiction - volunteers needed for set-up and manning course as well as participants to run/walk.
- Fred Nats Concessions benefitting Zoe Freedom Center : July 14, August 4, September 1
Sell & serve concessions at Friday night Fred Nats games; ZOE receives the tips and portion of sales.
- Tee Up Fore Freedom golf tournament benefitting Zoe Freedom Center : October 14
Annual golf tournament for ZOE - need help to promote, set-up the day of the event as well as participants to play.
- Jared Boxes : Ongoing
Fill a shoebox with small gifts and goodies to be given to kids in the hospital to lift spirits and provide a fun diversion. (Boxes and info provided).
- Lunch for the Salem Fields Townhomes : July 11, 25 and August 1, 8 (11:15AM-1PM)
Prepare and serve lunches for kids at Salem Fields Townhomes. Meet at townhomes (7100 Alpha Ct, Fredericksburg) to serve and interact with residents.
- Fireworks Celebration : September 3
Support of annual community Fireworks Celebration - set-up, monitor activities, drive shuttle, meet & greet, clean-up, etc .
- Hub of Hope - food truck clean : TBD

- Asbury Manor - Ice Cream Social : August 12
Ice cream social and interaction with senior residents of Asbury Manor.
- Newborn Caps & blankets - crochet or knit : Ongoing
Provide warm, soft caps & blankets to protect and comfort newborns in hospital (cap pattern provided).
- DIY - you create the service project : Ongoing
Choose something for you, your family, friends or neighbors to do together. Just let us know about it!
- Deck Furniture Assembly at Salem Fields Townhomes : July 20 (10AM to 1PM)
Bring your drill and meet at SF Townhomes (7100 Alpha Ct.)
- Brisben Homeless Center Back to School Event : August 5
Each child will receive a fresh hair cut, new pair of sneakers, a new back pack filled with supplies (hair dressers needed, donate school supplies, $$ for sneakers, volunteer event)
